Born and raised in Bruges, I’m a passionate local guide and canal boat captain who has spent years wandering these medieval streets together with my beagle Jack. Through my Free Walking Tours, I love bringing the real Bruges back to life — beyond the typical tourist route, through hidden corners, quiet canals, local legends, and authentic stories most visitors never hear.

My tours are always kept small, relaxed, and interactive, creating a personal atmosphere with plenty of time for stories, questions, and conversations along the way. And yes… most of the time Jack joins the tour too. He takes his job very seriously.

If you’re looking for an authentic Free Walking Tour in Bruges with a passionate local guide and a true local experience, this is the perfect way to discover the city.

In the middle of the Market Square you’ll see a large statue — the same one as in the picture above. That’s the meeting point for the tour.

You should easily spot me nearby with a blue umbrella and probably a curious beagle looking out for people too.
